Fashion Week just wrapped here in New York City, which means lots of reasons to dress up in my most stylish ensembles… except that it was also 200 degrees outside, which made all the fall outfits I had envisioned wearing a little tricky slash problematic. Ok, it was just a balmy 92 degrees the past few days, but the humidity, made it feel like a 1000 degrees. All the tall buildings in the city really trap the heat and humidity too, so you literally feel like you’re in a smoggy petri dish. Were it any other week, I would have worn my most light and summery dresses and indulged in a few more days of summer dressing, but being that it was the start of NYFW, I had an array of new fall lewks I wanted to show off and had, in fact, acquired just for this occasion. So weather be damned, I wore (most of) them, as you’ll see from my roundup of what I wore the second week of September 2018. And sweat I did. But it’s okay, because, well, you know, fashun. And because the weather gods couldn’t love fashion more, they decided to bless us with hot, steamy rain for the second half of fashion week. Bless. So yeah, that made the shoes I had in mind for the week not exactly practical. So fun. They really like to challenge editors/attendees during fashion week. It’s like the fashion gods are looking down and laughing at us all. But Fashion Week is nothing if not the olympics of dressing, and everyone rose to the occasion, so I tried to as well.
Here’s what I wore the second week of September 2018.
