It’s finally starting to feel like fall, at least in the mornings — by afternoon, it starts to feel like summer again, making dressing for work a challenge. I am also desperate to start wearing cozy sweaters and boots, but it’s just too warm for the most part. I tried to embrace fall without overheating this week with long sleeves, light layers, closed toe shoes (mostly because I really need a pedi) and bare legs, as you’ll see from my roundup of what I wore the first week of November 2017. I mean I love summer and warm weather, but it’s sort of ridiculous that we’re in November and it’s still so warm. It feels weird. Is it going to be 70 on Thanksgiving? I really want to start wearing all my fall sweaters and coats and boots but it’s so warm, and I don’t want to sweat to death on the way to work, ya know?
I don’t know. Maybe I’m the only one wishing for cooler temps. I know I’ll regret this when it’s the dead of winter and I’m freezing my butt off and sick of sweaters. I did really lean into layers and proportions this week. I am trying not to shop a ton rn, so I tried to make older pieces from my closet feel fresh with a twist like a sweater over a dress, a blouse under a dress, or a mini dress worn as a shirt. What are you your thoughts? Here’s what I wore the first week of November 2017.

Look 1: Pussy bow Blouse; High-Waisted Jeans; Velvet Mules
