I’m honestly surprised I made it to Friday. I don’t know if it’s all the months of not sleeping and all the chaos of our lives recently catching up with me or just the realities of being a working mom, but I’ve never been so exhausted. I’m looking forward to cuddling up with the fam this weekend and taking it super easy. But as you’ll see from what I wore the last week of February 2020, I had a lot going on this week that I had to dress for. The work events were pouring in, whether it was a big internal meeting, external lunches, or after work event, so leaned into dresses and boots and even a jumpsuit, because why not? I have to say, I’m loving dark florals right now. Idk what it is — maybe my attempt to try to herald in spring? Whatever it is, I leaned in hard this week.
This week started out feeling like spring and ended like winter so maybe it didn’t work but I tried? But I mean really, how are we even expected to get dressed anymore? I don’t have time to figure out the weather anymore and frankly, I’m always cold, so I’ve decided to just dress for winter until someone tells me it’s spring. I am also too tired to get creative with my outfits right now, so I’m falling back on my usual — dresses and boots. I did lean into this Ulla Johnson jumpsuit, which I love but I’m sort of on the fence about because it’s been hard to find the right closed-toe footwear to pair with it. It’s just too cold for sandals or ballet flats, so I did booties, but I’m not sure how I feel about them. Idk. Anyone have a good solution? Well, now it’s off to the weekend and hopefully, a little bit of rest and relaxation.
