It’s been a really crazy week and I’m feeling super stressed out, and usually when that happens I lean toward cozy clothes. Hence, my favorite cozy DVF sweater has been in heavy rotation, as you’ll see from my roundup of what I wore the second week of December 2017. Yep, I totally rewore it this week but I feel like people (hopefully) didn’t notice because the outfits were so different. Well, the setup was the same (skirt + boots + cozy sweater) but the vibes were totally different. I am a huge fan of investing in items that you a) want to wear all the time and b) can wear all the time by styling in different ways. To mix it up on the other days, I tried a simple mom uniform — jeans and a striped shirt — and made it work ready with some ankle strap heels that feel like a step up from flats but aren’t heels and the tailored Vince coat that is one of my all-time best purchases. It makes any outfit instantly look more polished.
I really leaned into skirts this week, which is funny because previously I was more of a dress girl. But I’m still pumping at work a bit and it makes life easier. I also am so into cozy knits worn with sweaters. I just love the combo, especially with a pair of tall boots. Although I actually wore a dress as a skirt one of the days by throwing a sweater over – one of my favorite styling tricks and ways to extend your dresses into winter. Here’s what I wore the second week of December 2017.
