James started school this week and Charlotte has begun her transition into her first year of preschool, and it officially feels like a new season. The mornings are cooler, as are the evenings, and with the way things are moving, it feels like it will be Halloween before we know it. I am in no rush to speed through fall. It’s my second favorite season, next to summer, and I have lots on our family bucket list to do before the snow and short, dark days. Honestly, I can barely keep my head above water with all the school stuff, kids’ activities, work, the end of fashion week, and fall events. It’s just so much. But as promised, I am going to try to stay on top of documenting my outfits and supplying you with outfit ideas for work, weekends, mom-ing, working from home, weddings, whatever you have on your list. And to that end, here’s what I wore the second week of September 2021.
As you can see, I am slowly putting my summer dresses to rest and whipping out the jeans and fall tops. It’s a great way to look nice while working from home and taking Zoom meetings and then running to pick up the kids from school. I also threw in a dress you may remember I wore in August to a dinner party that I made work for fall with some boots and a cardigan. I love dresses that you can really wear year-round. And in an attempt to recover from fashion week and a long week of work and shuffling the kids, we escaped to the lake for the weekend, where I’ll be living in sweats and leggings and I’m not mad about it. Here’s what I wore the second week of September 2021 aka my week in outfits.
