what I wore the third week of February 2022

I’m officially very, very pregnant. That’s a technical term, btw. And as any of you who have been there knows, when you’re “very, very pregnant”, getting dressed takes a LOT of motivation and creativity. It’s funny because with my first two pregnancies, I enjoyed getting dressed right up until the end. But a) I wasn’t pregnant during a pandemic for James and Charlotte, so I had places to go every day where I was expected to be dressed and presentable and wasn’t completely burnt out from two-plus years of pandemic parenting b) both my other pregnancies were mostly during the spring and summer when throwing on a pretty sundress didn’t take much work and made me feel less like a giant whale. In fact, I enjoyed how my bump looked in pretty sundresses — it made me feel very feminine. But this time around, I’m 8.5 months pregnant nearly three years into a never-ending pandemic during the cold, dark days of winter and working from home, and feeling a lot less cute. Bottom line: I’m losing all motivation to get dressed. But this week, I had several excuses to bring it in the outfit department, and so I hope you appreciate my efforts in my round up of what I wore the third week of February 2022.

I don’t know how much I have left in me if this winter weather continues, so please appreciate what I wore the third week of February 2022 and know that it was all for you. In all seriousness, I know I’ll regret not taking advantage of dressing the bump, even if it feels like a monumental effort most days, so I’m trying my best here people, and hopefully, sharing some good finds and winter pregnancy outfit inspo along the way.
