We are heading to Florida for the kids’ spring break. This year, our town’s spring break is late — the second week of April. Maybe that’s not late, but it feels late to me. I really need spring break in March when it’s freezing and snowy, but I digress. I’m excited for sunshine and lots of pool time with the kiddos. We’re even gonna make a visit to Universal Studios and maybe Disney World too. I have a guide for what to wear to Disney but I also wanted too share some ideas for what to pack for Florida in April, since I know a lot of you are headed that way for spring break too. It looks like the weather is going to be gorgeous — 80s and sunny for most of our stay. We have been to Florida in February and March when it’s been cold and rainy, so a benefit of a later spring break is definitely warmer weather. Hence, I will be packing lots of sundresses, swimsuits and shorts.
When deciding what to park for Florida in April, I like to do a mix of bathing suits and cute coverups that can take me from the pool or beach to lunch, casual shorts and tees and athletic dresses for visiting theme parks or zoos or going on adventures with the kids, and cute sundresses for dinners out with the fam (or for just us if we luck out and get a sitter). We’ll also probably do some casual dinners at the pool and some room service here and there, but you know me, I like to get dressed up and wear my dresses so there will be plenty of that. If you’re heading to the Sunshine State for spring break, here are ideas for what to pack for Florida in April.
