Okay, admittedly the playsuit is hard to pull off, and when it first arrived on the scene, I was going to leave it to the tall and otherwise, genetically blessed. But after proving that it’s not going anywhere, the romper has totally won me over. It’s flirty, cute, and so much more fun than a dress for summer. I don’t know guys, I just love a romper. So today, I thought I’d share some inspiration and tips for how to style a romper.
Rompers are essentially a blend between a dress and shorts and can be treated as such. They seem fussy and complicated but you just style them the same way you would a dress really. They’re a summer jumpsuit and actually fun and versatile and a cute way to mix it up. They’re perfect for daytime as well as a more casual beach party or BBQ. I love them with flat sandals or even sneakers for daytime. Keep the accessories light and breezy and you’re good to go. I love a romper with flats, a cute crossbody and a panama hat for a daytime concert, event or party. Or honestly, just for running around town when you want to look cute. For the evening, go with a dressier pair of sandals and a smaller bag. Maybe a statement necklace or earrings. I do prefer flat sandals or not-too-high espadrilles or platforms work best with a romper since the hemline tends to be shorter, but that’s me, and I’m more conservative in the way I dress. I’m all about balancing. Here are some more ideas for how to style a romper.
