Spring, are you there yet? Because it sure doesn’t feel like it! It’s been a chilly start to spring on the East Coast to say the least. It feels weird to whip out Easter egg pastels when it’s not even…
7 Spring Outfits I’ll Have on Repeat
I don’t know about you, but I have had enough of winter and sweaters, coats, and tights and bundling up the family to step outside. Even though it’s been a chilly start to spring so far, I couldn’t wait to…
End of Season Sale Finds That You Can Wear Now and Again Next Winter
I am not even gonna say how sick of winter I am because I say it to you just about every day and complaining about it isn’t going to magically bring on the spring temps and flowers. Plus, it is…
What I Wore on Our Trip to Florida
We went to Florida for a long weekend to see family and unsuccessfully escape the polar vortex. Sadly, we arrived just in time for rain and it only cleared up as we left. So I packed a bunch of stuff I didn’t need, because it turned out to be cold and rainy, and my dreams of shooting great beach getaway content for you were squashed. However, the sun did come out for long enough that I was able to wear some of my favorite new beach dresses and snap a few pics. Even though it wasn’t the most photo-worthy trip, we had fun spending time with James and it was kind of nice not having to worry about looking cute for pics or dressing cute (it was basically just bundle up with whatever warm clothes we brought for the first two days). Still, I got to squeeze in some cute looks that I definitely recommend if you’re heading somewhere warm sometime soon.
Found: The Perfect Winter to Spring Dress
Recently I went to a baby shower in the Connecticut on a frigid day. I wanted to look cute and slightly spring-y (or at least not wear all black or my current uniform of the biggest, warmest sweater I can find). As per usual I wasn’t liking anything in my closet, so i ordered a dress that is actually the perfect winter to spring dress.
The Trick I Use to Make Jeans and a Sweater Look More Put-Together for Work
After going through a major dress phase, winter has finally gotten to me, and all I want to wear is jeans and a sweater. However, when you work in fashion, you gotta step up your jeans and sweater outfit game. My go-to strategy? A statement coat and a great pair of shoes.
What I Wore This Week (No. 37)
It’s been a gross week of cold, wet weather. The good news? It’s also been a short week! Honestly, after being super indulgent and lazy over the long weekend, I didn’t feel like getting dressed this week. The slushy, gross weather didn’t help. Luckily, it was more of a grind it out on big projects kind of week at work, so I didn’t have to get dressed up for any events or presentations so I went with a more casual vibe.

Here’s what I wore to New York Fashion Week this week.
The Best $5 Lip Balm for Dry Lips
If you get dry, chapped lips in the winter and are constantly applying Chapstick, Kiehl’s or whatever lip balm that doesn’t really work, I am about to change your life. I never had super dry lips until I went on Accutane. (I will write a whole post on that another time, because it was honestly the best thing I ever did and I can’t believe I spent my whole teenage life with acne and didn’t go on it sooner, but that’s another day.) In any event, my lips did get dry as a side effect, and it was horrible. Just the feeling of dry, chapped, peel-y lips is the worst. When my amazing but fancy dermo, who is really the best, but caters to the Park Avenue crowd, said she had a secret weapon to combat my dry lips, I got nervous that it was going to be a pricey balm. And honestly, I would have paid anything at that point for a lip balm that actually worked on dry lips. But then she told me to go to Amazon and order a few tubes of Dr. Dan’s Corti-balm.
My New Weekend Mom Uniform
I wanted these overalls the minute I saw them even though they’re from one of my favorite maternity lines, Hatch Collection, I knew they would fit because the line actually designs clothes you can wear at all stages — not pregs, pregnant, and post-partum. As anyone who has had a baby knows, your body changes so much during pregnancy and then post, and having high-quality clothes that you actually love that are comfortable and chic is so hard to find.
Back to the Grind
After an amazing ski vacation in Park City, we are back in the city and time to go back to the grind. It’s always hard getting dressed the first day after a vacation. You want to look refreshed and polished,…
What I Wore This Week (No. 34)
would have probably slacked in the dressing department this week, but I had so many holiday events and parties that it wasn’t really an option. Here’s what I wore to work this week.
