What I Wore on Our Summer Vacation at Lake Placid

We just got back from a super fun long weekend in Lake Placid. We stayed at Mirror Lake Inn and it was beautiful. I can’t recommend enough for a family trip. I’ll do a whole post about our trip and recommendations if you’re visiting the area — it was our first time and we definitely will be going back. But in the meantime, I’m sharing what I wore on our summer vacation at Lake Placid aka my Lake Placid outfits. I tried to keep it pretty low key and casual since it’s really a beautiful lake vacation with boating and swimming and fishing and a woodsy lake vibe. But you know I love to throw on a cute dress for dinner or exploring town. I know it can look fancy but actually there’s nothing easier than throwing on a dress, no mixing and matching required.

I packed a mix of shorts and sundresses and bathing suits/cover ups along with some sweaters and jeans for when it got cooler at night and in the mornings. It turned out to be the perfect combo and lots of the pieces will easily go into fall with me as we go up to our lake and apple pick and do all those things that I love but don’t want to think about yet because IT’S STILL SUMMER!
