We just got back from a few days in the Catskills. Well, the kids and I just got back. If you’ve been following along, you know I took the kids solo to the Catskills for a few days. It sounds crazy and it kind of was, but I’m glad we went and it was a good experience for all of us. And honestly, the change of scenery was necessary. I recapped everything I recommend doing and where to eat and stay in a blog post that is coming soon, but at the heart of this blog, I started it as a way to help you get dressed, so you know I’m bringing you what I wore on our summer vacation to the Catskills.
Honestly, I didn’t have much time to get ready because I had all three kids on my own, so I really relied on one and done dressing. I know you’ll probably look at what I wore and think I got dressed up, which seems impossible with kids. But I actually think it’s easiest to just throw on a dress or set and go rather than trying to put together pieces, even if it’s just shorts and a shirt. I also find dresses just really easy to wear. But I’m a dress girl, as you guys know by now. I opted for easy dresses that were comfy and could be machine washed since my kids use me as a napkin. We went out to eat quite a bit and were out and about so I did get dressed but didn’t do the hair or makeup, as you’ll see. That’s sort of my favorite part about summer vacations though. You can just throw on a dress and sandals and toss your hair up and skip the makeup. Easy, breezy.
Here’s what I wore on our summer vacation to the Catskills.
