The holiday season is in full swing. We really didn’t take any breaks after Thanksgiving this year. It’s just been full swing ahead, right? How are you guys on the decorating/holiday prep front? We got our tree and decorations, but we didn’t go all out with the holiday decor. I love Christmas and the holidays, but we still have rooms and spaces to furnish, so I’m more focused on that tbh, and we are in Park City over the holidays so we end up decorating there too, so it just feels like a lot. But I don’t know. I’m also over here debating if I want to order more holiday decorations, so we’ll see… I should really just order them at the end of this year when they’re all on sale and go all out next year… I don’t know why but this year’s holidays feel a little weird. I don’t know if it’s because we’re in a new town and really settling in now to a holiday season here or life is moving really fast or it’s a weird year. Maybe all of the above. On the one hand, I have so many holiday event and party invitations, but it’s not with our close friends. It’s more with brands or work-related. Those are always fun and exciting too, but I guess I miss some of the holiday events and friends in our old town that had become traditions for us. We’re still working on making new ones here. And I think I’m also feeling stressed about work and getting everything done and unsettled in our house. I just want it to be finished already so that we can have people over or have a Christmas party or whatnot, and we’re just not there. I did get some great scores during the Black Friday sales, but I also am waiting on a couch that feels like it’ll never arrive and I hope will look nice and lot’s of other little projects. But let’s not focus on all the to-dos, let’s skip to the fun stuff — what I wore the second week of December 2023.
This week was not quite as productive as I hoped. I really wanted to dive full in on work and I’m starting to realize that I may not get a chance to really concentrate on the work front until after the holidays. It’s frustrating because there’s so much I want to do, but there’s just so much going on and only so many hours in the day. This week, was a lot of running around and recovering from my Thanksgiving food coma coupled with some holiday events that I had to go to for work, so I was wearing everything from leggings to dresses. Now it’s off to see Charlotte perform in the town holiday stroll, which I’m super excited about. Here’s what I wore the second week of December 2023.
