We are actually away this week traveling but I am always a week behind on these, so what I wore the third week of April 2024 is from last week if that makes sense. Basically, this is what I wore last week, so if you’re following my Instagram, don’t get confused. It is finally starting to feel a little bit like spring. Chilly early spring, but spring nonetheless — it’s the what to wear in 60 degree weather type of conundrum. But I’ll take it after a really cold start to spring that had me still in boots, puffer jackets and sweaters. We are currently in Italy celebrating our 10 year wedding anniversary and getting some time away from the kids together, which hasn’t happened in a year. Usually I freak out when it’s time to leave the kids, but really felt like we needed this time and excited and grateful to have it.
I have to say that as I was packing for Italy, I realized I haven’t gotten much wear out of my spring clothes. I was so excited for spring dresses and events and travel we had coming up, I started shopping early and then it felt like winter just dragged on so I didn’t get to wear all the cute spring clothes just hanging around. So I’m excited to break them out while we are away and I threw on a lot of spring dresses this week because frankly, I couldn’t wait. It’s still a little cold, so my legs were cold and I had to throw on a heavier coat, but I just don’t want to wear jeans and sweaters anymore. It’s sunny out and flowers are blooming, and I just need the warm weather. Frankly, I’m really ready for summer too. I could really skip over this May nonsense and go right to Memorial Day weekend. I am ready for pool and hot days at the beach and a bit of a looser schedule. But I’ll take a vacation, so off to pack. Here’s what I wore the third week of April 2024.
