June is almost over somehow. I know summer will be over in a flash as it always is, but man it’s flying by! James didn’t get out of school until the second week of June, so that also made the month feel short. I know summer by definition is short and a flash in the pan, but I really never want it to end, so I hate that it’s going by quickly. It’s such a special time with the kids. I get to slow down and be with them more. They get to do so many of the fun things I loved doing as a kid as well as things I would have loved to do. And I know next summer, they’ll be bigger and in different stages, so I’m just trying to savor this moment and the summers when they want to be with us, even if they’re exhausting and I’m not getting nearly as much work done as I had hoped. This week was a mix of work, events, running the kids around, as you’ll see from my roundup of what I wore the fourth week of June 2024.
I”m certainly looking forward to things slowing down in July and August and living in swimsuits and coverups, especially with the bump front and center. I don’t mind dressing the bump, and find it much easier in summer when you can just wear breezy dresses, but I am looking forward to not having as many things to get dressed for if that makes sense. But this week, I had a lot to dress for and I’m definitely starting to grow bigger by the day, so I leaned into summer dresses and sandals. We’re planning a little adventure this weekend that I’m looking forward to and hoping to squeeze in some beach time, so I can’t wait to kick it off But first, the kids are at camp and I’m squeezing in all I can while Brooks is napping. Here’s what I wore the fourth week of June 2024.
