I cannot believe we’re already into November and the countdown to Thanksgiving is on. In some ways, it feels like October was a blur with the arrival of Grace and our NICU stay. She’s now nearly four weeks old, which is crazy. A month feels so old and so fast and I want it all to slow down but it’s such crazy chaos, it just keeps going faster. I felt like I Had her yesterday and yet, it’s like she’s always been with us, and it’s some combo of both I suppose. I want time to slow down. I never want her to get bigger or to grow up, especially as she’s my last baby. But I’m also exhausted and always so worried about her that seeing her pass milestones helps this mama heart feel less anxious and afraid we’ll end up back at the hospital. But we’re starting to get our life back on track, and I’m trying to get dressed again, as you’ll see from my round up of what I wore the first week of November 2024. Finding pockets to exercise and to eat food that’s not off my kids’ plates is next. But baby steps, right?
Tbh, postpartum dressing is tough. It’s especially not fun when you have to photograph yourself for your job. There are times when an outfit looks cute in my mind and I can even squeeze into it and then I see myself in it and I’m like ughh. I am not worried about rushing to get back into shape or anything. Now four babies in, I know the weight will eventually come off (especially once I’m done breastfeeding) and that there will be time for workouts and making myself healthy meals one day and that it’s fine to be in survival jam right now. But I’m also eager to feel like myself in my body, which it’s hard to when you’re basically a cow, nursing around the clock with a postpartum belly, butt and boobs lol. But hopefully my outfits will give you ideas for how to approach postpartum dressing and even if you haven’t just had a baby, what to wear this time of year when it’s starting to get chilly, Here’s what I wore the first week of November 2024.
