Fun fact: I grew up dancing, mostly ballet but really everything until about the age of 18 when I went to college. I think I probably got my first pair of ballet shoes and tutu at the age of 2 when I took my first class. So I was thrilled to sign Charlotte up for ballet camp when she was two. In retrospect, I totally rushed it and she was not quite ready for a full ballet camp. Probably should have started with a class, but she did appreciate the outfit. Now we’re starting back up with ballet lessons with her friends and I’m so excited both for her to learn and to see her in her little leotard and tights. I remember going with my mom to the dance store a few towns over each year tot buy leotards and tights and ballet shoes and later jazz and modern and then pointe shoes. But that was before online shopping was really a thing. Personally I try to avoid shopping with my kids at all costs. But I wasn’t sure where to find toddler ballet clothes online.
Turns out, it’s actually not that easy. Local dance stores are still a popular option and are a must if you’re buying dance shoes for an older, more experienced dancer. Luckily, for toddlers, you can find most ballet and dance clothes online but it’s not as easy as I thought it’d be. Of course, Amazon is one of the top answers I got when asking friends where to find toddler ballet clothes and they pretty much have everything you need. But there are some other retailers I found some cute stuff on as well. So if you have a little ballerina starting her first class, I’m sharing where to find toddler ballet clothes and all my top picks from each.
