What I Wore This Week (No. 204) – Closetful of Clothes

June is in full effect and James’ last day of school is today, as is Charlotte’s last day of school camp. And then I think it will officially be summer break for our family. I am excited but also a bit nervous about how I’ll get everything done and keep the kids occupied. I’m sort of teetering between an 80s summer and a jam-packed scheduled summer. I guess I couldn’t figure out how to commit to either so I am doing a mix and we’ll see. Last summer, we were filled to the brim with camps and activities and even with help, it just felt like so much. I was doing so much coordinating and packing of lunches and snacks and bags and unpacking and dwashing and prepping and I just didn’t feel like we got to relax. The kids had a great time but I want to take a more low-key approach this year, for all our sakes. I also want to be able to enjoy some time with the kiddos this summer. So we’re going to do some weeks of camp but not all weeks will be full days and we’ll leave the afternoons free for pool and beach and boredom and sprinklers. We’ll also do some trips and then we have a big hole in August where we have nothing planned so I need to get on that. Toying with Nantucket versus our favorite Hamptons spot versus London versus waiting a bit and then just doing spontaneous road trips. Idk, I”m feeling indecisive and adventurous as you can tell. But let’s get to the point of why we’re all here — what I wore the second week of June 2024.

This week was another whirlwind, as I tried to pack a ton in during the last week of the big kids in school/school camp. In addition to trying to get as much work done as possible, I had lunches and doctor’s appointments, a hair appointment (they take forever so really wanted to pack that one in) and then a couple events as well. It was a lot to dress for and now here we are at the weekend. We have nothing planned, which I’m loving. I think we’ll take it easy but maybe we’ll just do a spontaneous road trip. You never know with me. Of course, there’s Father’s Day to celebrate too (here are some outfit ideas and last-minute gift inspo.). And here’s what I wore the second week of June 2024.
