We are chugging along in November and I’m in shock that Thanksgiving is right around the corner. If you need a Thanksgiving outfit, check out this post and this post. You still have time! And here are some Thanksgiving clothes for the kids. I also feel like some of my outfits from what I wore the second week of November 2024 would work for Thanksgiving too. I am not having a restful maternity leave (no maternity leave when you work for yourself I’m learning), so I’m mostly getting dressed as needed for work or kids’ events etc. and then quickly changing back into sweats or leggings as soon as I get home. I guess it’s nice to get out of my jammies — sometimes just staying in the newborn cave all day can get lonely and overwhelming as I learned with my first, but I also sort of wouldn’t mind a couple weeks of it, ya know? But the holidays are coming, the kids have all the things at their schools and activities, and I have been trying to figure out how to keep the can’t drop balls in the air on the work front. But these are all good problems to have IMO.
The weather started out warm this week and then started to feel pretty chilly. I definitely feel teh change of seasons coming and feel like our old friend Daylight’s Savings ushered that in. I’m finally getting wear out of all those sweaters and fall jackets, and doing the layering thing a lot, but I don’t know that I’m ready for cold. I was kind of hoping we could stay in the 50s and 60s forever. Maybe we can at least until December? I am so not ready for winter. I don’t mind winter when I don’t have to leave the house, but unfortunately, with four kids, that’s not an option so winter is not my favorite. But I’ll soak in the fall temps and clothes for as long as I can before I switch over to boots and parkas. Here’s what I wore the second week of November 2024.
